Did you know...?
In the recreational sport of rafting, each river is given a difficulty class of between one and six. A class six river is one that is almost impossible to navigate without resulting in serious injury.

If you don’t feel comfortable taking part in the kayaking, perhaps rafting will be a better option. Typically offered on free-flowing, inland water systems, this activity can still take you close to the action but perhaps offers more stability than attempting to navigate in a kayak. No experience is necessary as you will be given a comprehensive introduction and be under the watchful guidance of an experienced excursion leader.

Heading out into the open water in a raft is an exhilarating experience and will give you the opportunity to explore the detailed shorelines of the regions you visit. There will be no white water rapids for you to overcome, just miles and miles of sensational scenery for you to admire.

A number of expeditions that offer the chance to enjoy this activity are listed below.
