Ski trekking provides a fast and exciting way to explore more of some of the destinations you visit, and is often offered as a way of discovering some of the sub-Antarctic islands, such as South Georgia. Here, you can follow in the footsteps of famous explorer Ernest Henry Shackleton and traverse a range of different terrains on your journey across the wilderness.

On some itineraries, you may be required to prove that you have previous ski trekking experience, but others may offer the similar activity of cross-country skiing which will be more accessible to beginners.

Either way, skiing is the perfect way to travel across the snow and will mean that you can rally make the most of your pristine surroundings.
